Notably, a significant portion of the Masterpiece team, comprising four out of six members, brings valuable experience from their previous roles at Analytical Research, a multi-billion AUA hedge fund advisory firm. Masterpiece's founder, Aaron Sweeney, utilized his prior experience in hedge fund operational due diligence, equity proprietary and sales/trading to serve as a managing partner at Analytical Research from 2008 to 2018, holding the positions of Director of Research and Chief Strategist. Maureen Hladky, Masterpiece's Director of Operational Due Diligence, joined Analytical Research in 2011 and progressed to become the Director of Operational Due Diligence for the firm. Additionally, Alice Healy, Masterpiece's Research Supervisor, rendered consulting services to Analytical Research after a successful tenure as the Director of Research for a multi-billion dollar global hedge fund of funds. Furthermore, Masterpiece's Business Manager, Kai Gayles, initiated her career at Analytical Research in 2016 and has since collaborated closely with senior members of the Masterpiece team.

Recently, we expanded our Masterpiece team by welcoming data analyst Geoffrey Lo and hedge fund analyst Murphy McMahon. Their collaborative efforts focus on developing the essential infrastructure for data, analytics, and reporting to support our ongoing manager research and client portfolio monitoring endeavors.

Kai Gayles

Business Manager

Kai Gayles is the Business Manager of Masterpiece Advisors supporting the team across a wide range of functions, including general administration, human resource administration, office management, and compliance record keeping. Prior to joining Masterpiece Advisors, she worked as an administrative assistant at Analytical Research. Kai earned a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from The University of Albany.

Murphy McMahon

Hedge Fund Analyst

Murphy McMahon serves as the primary hedge fund analyst for Masterpiece Advisors. He functions in a variety of roles including investment due diligence, portfolio construction, and performance reporting. Prior to Masterpiece Advisors, Murphy worked at Harvard University’s endowment on the investment operations team. During his time there, he gained invaluable knowledge concerning hedge funds, private equity, and venture capital. He has recently graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance Cum Laude.

Geoffrey Lo

Data Analyst

Geoffrey Lo serves as a Data Entry Analyst at Masterpiece Advisors, leveraging his diverse skillset to enhance business operations. In his current role, Geoffrey handles report building and analysis, website updates, presentation development, and provides occasional IT support. Prior to Masterpiece, Geoffrey worked in healthcare administration at Mount Sinai Hospital. As an Assistant, he skillfully handled patient calls and inquiries while scheduling appointments. Before that, he acted as Closing Manager for a major supermarket chain, overseeing a team of over 50 employees and ensuring exceptional customer service. Geoffrey holds a degree in Graphic Design, with current studies toward a BA in Game Art and Development. His educational background provides an expertise in visual communication, interface design, and technical proficiency with programs like Adobe and Excel - critical assets for his data-focused role.
